  • ACCESS_WIFI_STATE / CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE – Used to discover and connect to TVs and devices on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • DISCOVERING DEVICES – Enables detection of compatible smart TVs and streaming devices.
  • TRANSMIT_IR – Used to control TVs directly via the device’s built-in infrared (IR) sensor.

Media & Storage Permissions

  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
  • READ_MEDIA_AUDIO
  • READ_MEDIA_IMAGES
  • READ_MEDIA_VIDEO
  • READ_MEDIA_VISUAL_USER_SELECTED

These permissions are used only when the user chooses media to play or cast to a TV. The App does not scan files in the background.

Audio & Call Permissions

  • RECORD_AUDIO – Used only for voice command features if enabled by the user.
  • READ_PHONE_STATE / CALL_PHONE – Required for device-specific remote features and compatibility on certain TVs. The App does not make calls automatically.

Overlay & Background Services

  • SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW – Enables floating remote controls.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE – Allows uninterrupted remote functionality on specific devices.

Location Permissions

  • ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION – Required by Android to detect nearby Wi-Fi devices. We do not track or store your physical location.

Notifications

  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS – Used to send important app-related alerts and updates. Notifications can be disabled at any time from system settings.

Usage Access

  • PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS – Used only to enhance compatibility and improve remote functionality. No personal activity is tracked or stored.

4. App Functionality & Technical Limitations

Some features of the App may be limited or unavailable depending on the user’s TV model, device hardware (such as the availability of an infrared (IR) blaster), operating system version, manufacturer restrictions, and Wi-Fi or network compatibility.

These limitations are technical in nature and are not related to the collection, use, or processing of personal data.

5. Advertising & Monetization

The App uses Google AdMob Mediation and may include advertising SDKs such as Google AdMob, Meta Audience Network, AppLovin, AppLovin MAX, Unity Ads, ironSource, Liftoff, Pangle, Mintegral, and InMobi.

These SDKs may collect:

  • Advertising ID (where permitted)
  • IP address
  • Approximate location
  • Ad interaction data

6. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

The App uses Google Play Billing Library for in-app purchases and subscriptions. Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We do not store or process payment information.
